Terms of Service
Last updated September 11, 2026.
These terms describe use of the RoboBattles app at hub.robobattles.com, operated by the Grant Imahara STEAM Foundation. They should be read with our Privacy Policy. These terms are not an event waiver or parental consent form.
Accounts and eligibility
Use your own email address and accurate information. Accounts are for people 13 or older; younger players should have a parent or guardian use their own account. If you are a minor, involve a parent or guardian and obtain permission where required. A verified email establishes inbox control, not age, identity, organizational authority, or guardian consent.
Protect your inbox and sign-in links. Do not share accounts; invite staff through their own accounts. Tell us if an account or organization has been accessed without authorization.
Teams and organizations
Only create or manage listings you are authorized to represent. Do not claim to represent a school, club, or Foundation program without permission. Organization owners are responsible for assigning and removing staff access. Managers may manage the organization's teams and events.
A team registration records a group of 1-4 players; it does not verify individual participants or enroll them in a school or program. Public availability for new players does not guarantee a place. The current platform does not vet organizations, hosts, staff, or external contacts, and a listing is not a Foundation endorsement.
Public listings and contact details
Published information is public, including through the directory API. Only publish material and contact details you have permission to share. Do not publish student full names, student personal email addresses, residential addresses, or sensitive participant information. Use team nicknames and program or adult-managed contact details.
You retain rights to your submitted content and permit us to store, display, and process it as needed to provide the service, including public display when you choose to publish. Removing a listing cannot recall copies made by others.
Contacting a team happens outside RoboBattles through its optional email or website. We do not send joining requests, guarantee responses, or manage those communications. Evaluate external sites and contacts independently; minors should involve a parent or guardian.
Events and host responsibilities
Only host an event when you have the authority, permissions, and arrangements necessary to do so. Hosts are responsible for accurate event information, safe and appropriate venues, supervision, accessibility arrangements, applicable insurance and safeguarding requirements, and any required guardian permissions, releases, waivers, fees, or refunds.
The app does not collect payments, signed waivers, media releases, or guardian consent. A team entry does not satisfy those requirements. Hosts must clearly communicate and handle any additional requirements separately before participation. Register only teams you are authorized to manage. Keep player counts accurate and withdraw entries that will not be used.
Acceptable use
Do not impersonate others, submit misleading listings, harass or exploit people, send unsolicited bulk messages, collect contact details for abusive purposes, post unlawful content, attempt unauthorized access, or disrupt the service. Do not use the platform to solicit sensitive information from children.
We may restrict accounts or hide listings to address safety, abuse, legal requirements, or violations of these terms. Report problems to support@robobattles.com, including the listing name or number and a description. For an emergency or immediate danger, contact local emergency services rather than waiting for an app response.
Availability and limitations
Listings are user-supplied and may be incomplete or outdated. ZIP distances are approximate, not driving distances. The service may experience outages, errors, changes, or discontinuation. We do not guarantee a team's availability, the accuracy of a listing, event admission, or another person's conduct.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available without warranties of uninterrupted operation or suitability for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded. These terms do not release anyone from event liability or replace event-specific agreements.
Leaving the service
You can stop using the service, unlist managed teams, withdraw entries, and request account deletion. Organization ownership and shared records may require coordination. See the Privacy Policy for retention and deletion details.
Changes and contact
We will post revisions with an updated date and provide additional notice where required. Questions about these terms, permissions, support, or safety can be sent to support@robobattles.com.
